Finished, But Just Getting Started
fernandodunn.com has been a work in progress for a few months now. I went through a lot of dreaming, planning, sketching and doing. This is the by-product. It was a long and frustrating experience, but like all good things, it was worth it.

Welcome to my new digs. To be brief for those who don't know me, I am Fernando Dunn II, best described as a Renaissance Man. Some people may know me from back at fdiidesign.com, but that site was killed in a bad accident because it was going in the wrong direction. Now, I am back online with a new site that is more about me and the things that interest or impact me (ie. art, design, web design, illustration, video games, computers, gadgets, Windows, Linux, my wife, my son, culture, society, work, DIY, hip-hop, rap, God, Jesus Christ, religion, etc).
With this site's design, I aimed to stray from the typical blog design and use something more relevant and useful. My portfolio and journal are of equal importance to me, so they have hopefully been given equal space and emphasis on the home page. The design is flexible, allowing for users of different screen sizes to have a similar browsing experience.
I have a lot of things that I am still working on, both on and off of this site such as:
- community-based web site projects (ie. DIY, art, etc)
- artwork screen printed on clothing and paper medium
- constantly growing portfolio of illustration, art, graphic design, and web sites
- constantly growing archive of writings that I may find to be useful to others
I might be looking for a few good men (fine artists, graphic designers, web designers, programmers, etc.) to assist with several of these projects in the next months. More details will be available soon. Until then, enjoy your stay and disregard any weird things that may be going on.

Look who’s back in action. I see you’ve posted baby pictures in Flickr, too!
I haven’t updated my CV, but I might be willing to help you out with whatever on the site.
I’ve actually been thinking about starting a project of my own. Think you might have any ideas on making it happen?
(By the way, a comment preview would be nice.)

J.J., thanks for stopping by. Sounds like you have a good idea going there. The web has too many bloated resources out there for the customer/consumer. It sounds like a good venue for other creative trades as well. I have some thoughts on the tip of my tongue. I’ll email you with some details.
By the way, the live preview is now functional using Live Comment Preview (via the Wordpress Plugin Repository and a little modification to make it work for Dreamhost).

Hey Fernando, I’m glad to see that you’re back. Good luck with the new site.
(Feel free to delete this if it seems non-essential or non-productive…ha.)

Greg, thanks. It is good to be back blogging. I won’t delete your comment unless you leave something like the following: “flkjb lahblkja klsdlbhlk ajdslfkjdsalhfj…. Look at my art.. It is funnay!”
I already had to delete at least six versions of that comment that were posted by a friend of mine.
