Entry for the St. Louis Post Dispatch's 100 Neediest Cases contest using graphite pencil on Bristol board using various magazine photos as the source.

Every year, the St. Louis Post Dispatch hosts a holiday drive for our needy neighbors entitled
100 Neediest Cases. Hundres of families' stories are filtered, and 100 are selected for publication. To further emphasize the story, the St. Louis Post Dispatch runs a contest allowing local high school artists to illustrate an image depicting a need or struggle. The entries that can be used as an illustration are selected and placed with a particular story.
My drawing was selected as one of the top 20 submitted. It encapsulates four different children with four different ailments. I created this piece using graphite pencil on strathmore board.
